Fall Clean Up! Co Op Duty

Greetings from your friendly Operations Chair!

After a beautiful, if slightly cool and wet, summer, it is time to clean up the pool in preparation for the winter, and we need your help.

The first fall clean up date is scheduled for September 14 at Nassau Swim Club from 9 am until noon.

Tasks for this clean up include: stacking and storing chairs, storing the lifeguard chairs, storing kick boards and miscellaneous pool toys, mowing, weed whipping, cutting back the garden, mulching, cleaning the bathrooms, cleaning out the refrigerator, etc. We also need one or a few volunteers to scrub the rust off of the large open grill. Not all these tasks require superhuman strength or rippling muscles, though some do, so please don't be afraid to volunteer even if you can't do heavy lifting.

I will have a sign in sheet at the entrance. We ask that you sign in when you arrive and note the time that you leave as well. Two hours of participation in the clean up will count as fulfillment of one co-op.

We will work even if it is drizzling, but will reschedule for the following Saturday, September 21 from 9 am to noon, if it is thundering or pouring. Please check the Facebook page to confirm, if you are unsure, as I will be posting early the morning of the clean up.

Please bring rakes, garden gloves, garden tools (clippers, especially), large tarps and bathroom cleaning gloves. We will also need a leaf blower.

Thank you in advance for volunteering to help!
Please contact me at the email address below with questions.

Remember, at Nassau we are all volunteers!

All the best wishes for a happy and healthy fall!
